In DC Comics, Catwoman is a villain who sometimes fights on the good side. Primarily appearing in Batman comics, she’s fought against the world’s greatest detective many times and, in other storylines, teamed up with him, even becoming a love interest. Catwoman is morally ambiguous always putting herself and her best interest before anyone else. Thus, it is not always clear who’s side she’ll be on.

Catwoman, also known as Selina Kyle, started her career as a thief. Throughout the years, she became a world-class criminal. She combined her stealth and agility with expertise in martial arts, making her a very formidable opponent in a fight.

Catwoman’s favorite weapon is a whip. She wields both a standard bullwhip and the cat o’ nine tails with lethal precision. She prefers the whip because it is a deadly weapon that the wielder must be trained to use, and thus it cannot be used against her if she’s disarmed. Catwoman sometimes use a handgun when the whip is taken from her. Catwoman uses sleeping gas or knockout darts to subdue victims.

In the movies, many actresses have played Catwoman, namely Lee Meriweather (TV), Eartha Kitt (TV), Michelle Pfeiffer (Batman Returns), and Halle Berry (Catwoman). The latest actress who will play the feline supervillain is Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises).
